Riding the wave of success in its 3rd year, Slingshot debuts the 2010 Lunacy. This year the partnership between Chief board designer John Doyle and pro rider Ruben Lenten have pushed the Lunacy to its highest performance level ever!
The Lunacy is the first ever promodel board appropriately named with reference to how insane Ruben Lenten rides. After experiencing the benefits of Slingshot's proprietary core technology FRT*, used in the Slingshot wakeboards, Ruben incorporated this feature into his kiteboard. The Lunacy is a super aggressive twin tip, maintains a wide shape and extreme tip power. NEW for 2010 the added features of Taper Wall sidewalls and Hyper Tip Flex translate a smoother ride and uniform flex.
We get asked a lot about the 135 size. The new 135 Lunacy is a super versatile board because its so fast, the most flexible compared to the other 2 sizes, can be adapted for boots, and can either be ridden as a light wind freestyle board or when the wind does pick up, use a smaller kite and you're still good.
