Kiteboarding Lessons - Water Clinics
Ground School:
Land based instruction focused on the basic fundamentals of kiteboarding. Gain the skill set and knowledge required to independently fly power kites, making the transition to water easier. Topics include kite control, wind window, power zone, simulated water starts, and kite safety. Students will gain confidence flying both foil and inflatable kites.
Time: 2.5 Hours
Cost: $120
Water School 101:
Learn what it takes to kiteboard on water, and make it back to shore! This is where the fun really begins. Topics include self launch, body dragging, upwind board drags, water relaunching, self-rescue and water starts. All lessons are one-on-one.
Time: 2.5 Hours
Cost: $275 (Jetski Assisted - Lake Levels Permitting) otherwise $225
Water School 102:
Personalized instruction designed to get you up and riding independently or improve your current riding skills. Topics can include water starts, board control, staying upwind, transitions, jumps and aerials or simply doing supported downwinders.
Cost: $110 Per Hour (Jetski Assisted)
Water lessons are primarily taught at Eagle Lake, Black Butte Lake and Lake Shastina.
Eagle Lake is located about a half hour northwest of Susanville, CA and can be reached in under three hours from Reno, Redding and Klamath Falls.
Black Butte Lake is located eight miles west of Orland, California and Interstate 5 in the Sacramento Valley. Black Butte offers warm riding conditions in the spring and fall.
Lake Shastina is located about 5 miles north (as the crow flies) of Weed, California in the Shasta Valley between I-5 and Route 97. This is the closest location to our shop.
If we travel to meet you for a lesson there may be a travel fee (to be determined).
