FEED THE OBSESSION: The 2027 Cabrinha Mantis
Warning: The 2027 Cabrinha Mantis will infect your riding with raw speed, massive boost capability, and relentless wind addiction. Cabrinha's iconic all-rounder returns lighter, stiffer, and radically refined to dominate everything from freeride progression and wave riding to big-air destruction.
Cabrinha Mantis Propaganda:
The Mantis has earned its reputation as one of the benchmark wings in the market. For 2027, the focus was to take the features that make the Mantis what it is and further refine the design with the latest technologies to expand the riding experience.
New aerodynamic profiles, optimized canopy tension, and an updated radial load distribution panel layout greatly improve balance, efficiency, and power delivery across the entire wind range. Combined with the lightweight and durable Teijin D2 canopy and new Teijin 75 trailing edge panels, the Mantis delivers a more refined feel while maintaining exceptional long-term durability.
The redesigned drop strut, rigid boom platform, and TruView infill panel improve comfort, control, and visibility, creating a wing that feels natural in your hands and inspires confidence on the water.
From first flights to advanced maneuvers, the Mantis continues to set the benchmark for all-around wing performance.
Refined aerodynamics for effortless power, balance, and control.

The Mantis is for wing foilers looking for a performance all-round wing that excels on flat water just as much as it does in the surf and in the air.
This is a powered wing, ideal for the racecourse, the local break, or the foiler looking for exceptional performance. It offers excellent control from the leading-edge handle, feels balanced in the surf, and also boasts some serious big-air capabilities.
Versus 2026 Vision:
While both wings are great for the everyday freeride session, that is where the similarity ends. The Mantis features a much flatter canopy compared to the Vision’s fuller profile, particularly at the leading edge.
Because of its flatter canopy design, the Mantis requires a little more kinetic input (pumping) to get foiling at the lighter end of the wind range. Once up and riding, however, the flatter profile generates apparent wind and unlocks the Mantis’ signature performance and impressive upwind angles.
When sizing, we recommend the Vision for the lighter end of the wind range due to its fuller profile and more powerful, grunty personality. Larger sizes of the Mantis should be selected more with rider stature in mind.
The Mantis also features a lower-dihedral leading edge compared to the Vision, allowing it to fly more balanced from the front handle when flagged out. This makes it ideal in the surf, where you can largely ignore the wing and focus 100% on your lines.
These qualities also give the Mantis serious big-air credentials. For riders looking to beat their personal best in the air, or even those who just occasionally want to boost, the Mantis is the clear choice.
